DIGITAL DESIGN & FABRICATION IN ARCHITECTURE

An absolute highlight in the workshop series! This 9 days Design & Build competition resulted in the creation of two human- scale plywood structures from 700sqm of 7mm waterproof CNC-water-jet-cut plywood. Following a brief introduction into Rhino & Grasshopper this was our first large scale test in designing rule-based, prototypical structures that incorporate site-specific performance criteria, material restrictions and assembly logics into a fully automated file-to-factory design. Watch the videos to get a taste!
