05. AA D_Lab, UK
D_LAB – AA SUMMER SCHOOL
DLab experiments with digital design tools and rapid prototyping techniques as integrated systems of design development. Taking advantage of its unique location within the AA premises in the heart of the London, these annual workshops create a vibrant atmosphere not only through rigorous studio work, but also by public lecture programmes that share the diverse expertise of professionals from London’s leading offices in the areas of digital design and fabrication techniques.
As one of the 4 available studios we used Maya modelling combined with MEL-programming as a basis to explore generative design strategies that capitalise on various prototyping technologies. The goal was for each of the student teams to create a park installation.
