DIGITAL DESIGN IN ARCHITECTURE

Lodz is gorgeous in early summer – especially in the company of a small group of hungry students conjuring up methods to generate structures from paper using nothing but calculation power, an A3-printer, a knife and a lot of glue. Starting off with Maya MEL-programming as a base this workshop formed an introduction to applied algorithm-based architectural design and asked students to develop and build physical models of responsive component-based structures.
