This second Fabrication Intelligence workshop, open to all AA-students, consisted of a Design & Build Competition to develop a parametrically varied shelf for the AA Digital Prototyping Lab to display the various models fabricated there. With plywood as a given material, CNC-milling as the main prototyping technique and Maya modelling combined with MEL-programming as the main design tools, different proposals were developed and assessed. The selected design was then produced in Hooke Park, the AA’s wood workshop in the gorgeous woods of Crewkerne.
